Single tickets

We recommend new students to always try the class with a single ticket. Children in particular should try a few times to see if the class is suitable for them. Single tickets are also suitable for students who get to attend classes occasionally. A single ticket is enough to confirm your registration.

Serial tickets

A serial ticket is a cheaper option than a single ticket and a more flexible option than a seasonal ticket for students who attend classes regularly. With a serial ticket, you can attend all classes which have the same price, as well as other classes for an additional fee. Serial tickets are suitable for students who attend one or more classes a week. The validity period of serial tickets (6 months) is counted from the first day of use, however it is never more than one year from the date of purchase.

Seasonal tickets

The seasonal ticket is an affordable and hassle-free option when the student attends a certain weekly class throughout the season. It is also possible for a student attending a class with a seasonal ticket to skip the queue at the reception and sign in for the class with the reception machine.

For a student who buys multiple seasonal tickets, we grant a personal seasonal ticket discount: the first seasonal ticket of the season is full price and you get a 15% discount on other seasonal tickets of the same season, regardless of when the seasonal tickets are purchased. The seasonal ticket covers one chosen class until the end of the season and can only be purchased after registration. The seasonal ticket cannot be transferred from one class to another, so only buy the seasonal ticket after you have tried the class (e.g. with a single ticket) and know that you can commit to the class for the rest of the season. You can also confirm your registration with a single ticket. A student who has a seasonal ticket does not have to report absences from the seasonal ticket classes, the place remains reserved despite the absences.

We are selling seasonal tickets only during the first five weeks of the season. During this period, the price of the seasonal ticket goes down every week by half of a single ticket’s price. After the start of the season, the seasonal ticket for the current week is on sale in the online store and at the reception, so please buy the seasonal ticket during the week you want to start.

In autumn 2024, the last day when seasonal tickets are sold is 15 September 2024.

Anytime tickets

Anytime ticket is the choice of an active dancer. Anytime ticket allows you to go to all open weekly classes. In Helsinki (Sörnäinen) and Espoo, it is also possible for a student attending a class with an Anytime ticket to skip the queue at the reception and sign up for the class using the reception machine.

Anytime season tickets are suitable for students who attend at least five* or more classes per week. One week’s Anytime ticket is suitable, for example, for people who are visiting the city and want to attend as many classes as possible affordably. Please ensure your place by enrolling to the classes you want before buying the ticket.

Tickets can be bought in the online store and at the reception of the dance school. Tickets can only be purchased after registration. The class must be paid for before going to the class.

Payment and payment methods at the reception

The reception opens half an hour before the start of the first class and closes after the start of the last open class of the day. Cash, Finnish bank cards, Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Smartum Liikuntaseteli, Smartum Liikunta- ja kulttuuriseteli, Smartum Pay, Virikeseteli, Edenred card, Edenred mobile, Tyky-Kuntoseteli, Tyky-Kuntoseteli+ and ePassi are accepted payment methods at the reception.

Sports vouchers and other employment benefits as payment methods

Liikuntaseteli and Liikunta- ja kulttuuriseteli, Smartum Pay, Virikeseteli, Edenred card, Edenred mobile, Tyky-Kuntoseteli, Tyky-Kuntoseteli+ and ePassi are personal employment benefits offered by the employer, and they cannot be used to pay, for example, dance classes of other family members. They are non-refundable. Please make sure that your name is written on the vouchers before paying with them.

Payment in the online store

The online store is open every day, around the clock. In our online store, you can pay with the online banking credentials of Finnish banks and the most common credit cards.

Payment in the online store takes place via Paytrail Oyj’s website. Paytrail Oyj acts in payments made with Visa, Visa Electron and MasterCard cards as both the seller of the product and the recipient of the payment, and the transaction is created between the customer and Paytrail Oyj. StepUp School continues to act as a marketer and supplier of products and is responsible for other obligations related to trade.

All tickets have a validity period, which is determined according to the product terms and conditions (see above). You can check the validity period of your own tickets from the receptionist or by logging into your customer account with your personal customer number and password.

The validity period of tickets can only be extended with a medical certificate. An extension of the validity period must be applied for separately from the office before the expiry of the validity period or at the latest one month after it. The medical certificate can be sent to the office by email to lippumuutokset@stepup.fi, by post or left at the reception to be forwarded. Ticket extensions are not processed at the reception. Include necessary contact information and account number for possible refunds in your message with the medical certificate.  Please note that processing takes an average of one to two weeks.

Family discount

We grant a 5% family discount on the regular price tickets for the weekly classes, if at least two people from the same family or household attend dance classes regularly. The discount only applies to open weekly classes, and the fees for formation groups, special training programs, intensive courses or camps, for example, are not discounted, but are priced separately. There is no family discount for additional fees. To apply for a family discount, send the name, date of birth and customer number of each family member by email to school@stepup.fi. Please note that processing may take a few days and the discount will not be granted retroactively. The family discount is valid for five years after it was granted, after which the discount can be applied for again. We reserve the right to suspend the granting of the family discount earlier if its conditions are no longer met.

Student discount

We offer students a 10% discount for the 5th and 10th time serial ticket. Students can also come and try a new class for €10. You can only use the €10 trial benefit for classes you have never attended before. Students can claim these benefits by showing their student card at reception. All tickets are personal.

Discount for professional dancers and performers

Dance and performance professionals can attend all of our open weekly classes for an affordable single ticket €12. Members of Suomen tanssi ja sirkustaiteilijat ry (STST) and Näyttelijäliitto are entitled to the professional price, who can get a reduced price by presenting their membership card at the reception when coming to class or by sending a photo of it in advance to school@stepup.fi.

If you are a dance/performance professional, but are not a member of the associations mentioned abowe, you can apply for the right to the professional price by sending your diploma and/or professional CV to our office at school@stepup.fi. You should allow about a week for processing the application.

By paying an additional fee, you can use the ticket of a cheaper price group also for the classes of the more expensive price group. The additional fee is the price difference between single tickets of these price groups and it is paid to the reception when coming to class. There are no family or other discounts for additional charges.

The class may be canceled if only one student shows up. The class may also be canceled if the teacher falls ill and no substitute teacher is found for the class. In this case, we will try to notify you of the cancellation by text message no later than two hours before the start of the class. There is no charge for the canceled class. Pupils who have a seasonal ticket can replace the canceled class with another class of the same or cheaper price or with a more expensive class for an additional fee by the end of the same term at the latest. Students who came to the place in vain will be given a free ticket as compensation. However, a free ticket will not be granted if the student has not received information about the cancellation due to the fact that their mobile phone number in their personal information is missing or incorrect.
